Beware of Michael Jackson Trojans, viruses

New Delhi, June 27, 2009: Spammers are installing Trojans, viruses in garb of Michael Jackson videos. Spammers who take control of your computers by installing Trojans and other deadly viruses are exploiting the mammoth appeal of the legendary singer after his death.

Spammers are reportedly sending emails to millions on internet users giving links to some unpublished videos.

If one clicks on those links their computers automatically install Trojans and those deadly viruses that steal valuable data from those computers.

An internet security company Websense Security Labs has found out that there are spam emails which offer the recipients the links to some unpublished videos as well as pictures of pop singer Michael Jackson, which are being sent after the death of the singing sensation yesterday.

A PC World report quoted a Webroot official as saying, “"Just visiting [one] page spawned a tornado of background and foreground browser activity -- over 100 URLs, mostly called from ad-host Yieldmanager by an automated script hosted elsewhere, were pulled down in just the first three seconds after the page loaded”.
